Welcome to Culture Snap Photography,
Culture Snap offers vibrant images from the roads of Toronto to rural Tanzania as taken by me - Toronto documentary photographer Henry VanderSpek.

My thanks to Alexis Marie Chute and The Front Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta for exhibiting two of my images as part of InFocus Photo 2017. It was an honour to participate in a show featuring emerging themes in Canadian photography.

Thanks to everyone who attended my "Taxi Drivers of Toronto" Contact Photo Festival exhibit at the Daniels Spectrum building in Regent Park. Many thanks to Now Toronto, who included my exhibit as one of their twenty "must-sees" of the festival, to CBC Radio for interviewing me about the project, CBC Toronto for covering my work and the Beach Metro for including my exhibit in their recent edition. I am very thankful for all the positive media response.

My "Taxi Drivers of Toronto" exhibit was also selected by the Toronto Library Arts Program and will be exhibited at Northern District Public Library (near Yonge & Eglinton) in July 2017. To see an overview of this project have a look at my recent blog post

If you are looking for someone to show the best of your special event, reveal your organizational mission in images and words, or document your non-profit work in Canada or overseas, look no further. I have over eight years of experience capturing digital images, and many more shooting with film. You are welcome to read my bio, words from recent clients, and/or view a selection of my published images. After doing so, send me an email and I'd be happy to discuss possibilities.

If you are looking for unique photo art - for your home, office or as a meaningful gift, please visit my art images. I am available to help you find the perfect item. I am thrilled to now have my photo art pillow covers available on Etsy as well! I invite you to have a look!

Warm regards,
Henry VanderSpek
