Alberta bound, Alberta bound
It's good to be Alberta bound
- Alberta Bound, Gordon Lightfoot
In May 2025 my wife and I visited Alberta to explore the scenic regions around Banff and Lake Louise.
This is part two of my blog about capturing scenes of Alberta on film - this time featuring panoramic film images!
All images shown were captured with a Lomography Sprocket Rocket.

Canoes at rest on Lake Louise, moments before being released onto the water.
This is one of my favourite images from this trip - and perhaps from all my Sprocket Rocket images.

I took this after we returned our canoe. You can see others out on the lake in the distance.

We encountered this wonderful view north of Lake Louise while travelling the Icefields Parkway

The deep blue water is due to minerals entering the lake from the melting glacier. This is another must visit spot!

Minnewanka Morning
We visited beautiful Lake Minnewanka on our last day before heading back to Calgary. So glad we did!

I definitely recommend visiting Alberta, and exploring the many beautiful spots along the Icefields Parkway.
