Welcome to Culture Snap Photography,

Culture Snap offers vibrant images from the roads of Toronto to rural Tanzania as taken by me - Toronto documentary photographer Henry VanderSpek.

I'm excited to have one of my images in an exhibit that celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Riverdale Artwalk. Drop by the Leslie Grove Gallery (1158 Queen St E) from now until Thursday June 1st to see the wonderful range of artwork on display.  The gallery is open Wednesday - Sunday from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. You are also invited to the closing reception which happens June 1st 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Many thanks to all who attended the 2023 SNAP Live Auction of photo art in support of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT). It was the first SNAP live auction in three years, and very exciting as a result. I was thrilled to see my image "Beauty" sell for $2600, all in support of the great work of ACT! My thanks also to the SNAP curatorial committe for the opportunity to participate.

Thanks to all who attended my recent exhibit, Redacted City in the 2023 DesignTO Festival. The exhibit examined words disappearing from the streets of Toronto, and featured images taken over the past ten years.

If you are looking for someone to show the best of your special event, reveal your organizational mission in images and words, or document your non-profit work in Canada or overseas, look no further. I have over ten years experience capturing digital images, and many more shooting with film. You are welcome to read my bio, my year in review blog posts, words from past clients, and/or view a selection of my published images. After doing so, send me an email and I'd be happy to discuss possibilities.

If you are looking for unique photo art - for your home, office or as a meaningful gift, please visit my art images. If you have questions or want suggestions - contact me and I'll be happy to help you choose!
Best wishes!
