Interview Excerpt:
What do you love about being a taxi driver?
Well, first of all I love my freedom, the second one I love it because I meet new people from different parts of the world… not having to see same face every day…not having to punch in and punch out…if I want to take a day off, I just take a day off. When I go home after my shift I can just drop my customer and go home.
What do you love about Toronto?
I like diversity. It doesn’t bother me. I walk into any restaurant, and I see all kinds of people sitting there, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Black, Spanish, Arabic, Muslim, non-Muslim, Gays, Lesbians... So tolerance. Tolerance is very important, and we have that in Toronto… (inaudible), it will take us sometime to have it everywhere, but it lives there.
