How long have you been driving?
I have been driving for over ten years and I’ve lived in Toronto for over 30 years now.
Can you tell me about some interesting passengers that you’ve had?
Oh I’ve some famous people like Mats Sundin was in my cab and Bob Rae was in my cab too.
What are some parts of Toronto you think more people should see?
Oh Toronto is so multicultural. They can visit Chinatown, Little Italy, Greektown… Toronto is more than just CN Tower and Niagara Falls.
Note: Hillman was one of the first taxi drivers that I interviewed. I asked fewer questions and was quicker with my interviews at that time. I followed up with Hillman before the 2017 Contact Photo Festival exhibit and learned that he is no longer driving a taxi due to the changes in the industry.
